THE OPPORTUNITY

This role will see you working as a member of the Sterilising Services team to provide timely sterile products, trays and equipment for our busy theatre department. This is a critical part of the surgical process and the ability to work efficiently within a small team and manage pressing deadlines is crucial. We have both full time or part time positions available.

Your duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Maintain compliance with minimum requirements for equipment care, handling and re-processing.
  • Maintain your competency standards in all sterilisation and decontamination processes.
  • Adhere to sterilisation standards and relevant legislation affecting practice.
  • Collaborate with Theatre & other CSSD staff to ensure timely equipment processing.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Certificate III in Sterilisation Services
  • Enrolment in or completion of Certificate IV in Sterilisation Services is desirable
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Sterilising Services
  • A comprehensive knowledge of CSSD processes and tasks
  • An understanding of relevant standards and AS5369 requirements
  • Experience in coordinating loan sets would be highly regarded
  • Ability to deliver high-quality service through effective teamwork

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
  • According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
