Our busy northwest dental office located in the NW in Royal Oak is looking to add an energetic, friendly, team orientated sterilization assistant to our practice in September 2025. Our current sterilization tech is graduating from dental hygiene and ready to move to the clinical side.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST HAVE SOME PAST EXPERIENCE WORKING IN DENTAL STERILIZATION.

Sterilization Assistant Role & Responsibility:

• Clean, disinfect, sterilize and reprocess all dental instruments used in the office
• Maintain sterilization equipment as per manuals and guidelines
• Keep accurate and up to date records of instrument loads in the log books
• Ensure instruments are properly sterilized and disinfected according to IPC protocol
• Sterilize handpieces according to IPC protocol
• Set up trays/kits with instruments
• Tearing down & disinfecting operatories for treatment changeover
• Basic room set up for DDS and RDH

Position will include a range of hours:

• Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday 10am-6pm
• Thursday 8am - 3:30pm
• Friday 8am-2:30pm
• 2 Saturdays per month (never on long weekends) 8am-2:30pm
