SCOPE OF POSITION:

This role is responsible for supporting sterilization technology and terminal sterilization processes across the division. You will provide support for development, engineering, and manufacturing projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams including Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Division Engineering. The primary focus will be on internal sterilization equipment, processes, and technologies, as well as interfacing with external vendors.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with site engineers, operations personnel, and suppliers to maintain and improve operations.
  • Partner with operations to gather required information, provide support, and share updates on process status.
  • Quickly respond to production and process upsets, troubleshoot issues, diagnose problems, and implement corrective actions to reestablish operations.
  • Work with operations teams to develop and strengthen SPC/SQC for process discipline and control (PD/PC).
  • Provide technical leadership in assigned processes and escalate issues when appropriate.
  • Drive continuous improvement and expand core process capabilities.
  • Apply engineering first principles such as MEE to develop mechanistic understanding and identify root causes.
  • Offer technical expertise and strategic direction for sterilization processes.
  • Support and execute activities related to development, validation, routine sterilization, and requalification activities.
  • Lead or participate in project teams, including commercial product support, continuous improvement efforts, and innovation initiatives related to sterilization.
  • Review and analyze process data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Monitor internal asset performance with a focus on achieving 98% uptime.
  • Document changes using the change control process.
  • Train maintenance and operations personnel to ensure operational efficiency and product quality.
  • Occasionally adjust working schedule as required to meet business needs.
  • Provide indirect leadership to assigned technical and hourly associates to achieve departmental goals for quality, quantity, service, cost, and safety.
