JOB SUMMARY

Our office is seeking a sterilization tech who can support our clinical team by helping to sanitize instruments and break down and set up rooms. The perfect candidate will have a keen eye for detail, be consistent and maintain a positive attitude at work!
The Sterilization Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and cleanliness of dental instruments and equipment within a clinical setting. The Sterilization Technician will work closely with dental professionals to maintain a sterile environment, supporting various dental procedures.

EXPERIENCE

Ideal candidates will possess experience in a dental clinic environment, demonstrating familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic. Knowledge of medical imaging techniques, vital signs monitoring, and medical coding is advantageous. A strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and experience with 3D scanners will be beneficial. Previous exposure to pediatric dentistry practices is a plus. Candidates should also be well-versed in infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 per week

Responsibilities
  • Perform sterilization of dental instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of treatment rooms for procedures by ensuring all necessary instruments are sterile and ready for use.
  • Support chairside assisting during dental procedures as needed, demonstrating knowledge of four-handed dentistry.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of sterilization equipment.
  • Monitor inventory levels of sterilization supplies and notify management when reordering is necessary.
  • Adhere to infection control standards to ensure patient safety and comfort.
  • Assist with medical documentation and maintain organized medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
