Sterilization Technician The Sterilization Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring a safe, efficient, and positive environment for both patients and team members. This position is responsible for the proper sterilization of orthodontic instruments in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines, as well as supporting lab operations including the fabrication and management of dental appliances like retainers. Responsibilities Ensure proper decontamination and sterilization of orthodontic instruments Handle and maintain instruments according to OSHA and CDC guidelines Fabricate orthodontic retainers and other dental appliances Pour molds and assist with lab-related tasks Check in retainers from outside laboratories Maintain accurate documentation and records related to sterilization and lab work Organize and manage materials and supplies for lab and sterilization areas Support clinical team with preparation and maintenance of tools Help create a clean, welcoming environment that supports an exceptional patient experience Requirements Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a dental or orthodontic setting Familiarity with orthodontic appliances and lab procedures Benefits Competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off (PTO) Company-paid short- and long-term disability Robust 401(k) plan with company match up Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination Ability to lift up to 30 pounds Bending and reaching may be required throughout the day Southern Orthodontic Partners is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EEO).
