Title: Sterilization Technician Practice: Midwest Oral Maxillofacial & Implant Surgery Location: 17300 Outer Forty Rd. N. Suite 103, Chesterfield, MO 63005 Hours: M, T & Th, F 7:30am -4pm. Half Day Wed 7:30am – 12pm. Pay: Typically $16/Hr No previous experience in the dental field is required! The Sterilization Technician is an important part of our surgical team. This role focuses on keeping tools clean, safe, and ready for patient care. You’ll help clean and organize surgical instruments, support safety in the office, and work closely with other staff to make sure every day runs smoothly. Essential Functions Instrument Cleaning and Setup: Clean, check, and organize surgical tools and trays Use autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, and other tools to sterilize equipment Package and label instruments after cleaning Check instruments for damage or missing parts Make sure tools are stored properly and ready when needed Clean and Safe Work Area: Keep the sterilization room neat and clean Follow all safety rules and infection control procedures Always wear gloves, goggles, and other protective gear Let the manager know if supplies are running low Team Support: Help the surgical team by keeping tools ready and available Assist with other tasks as needed Be flexible and helpful during busy times Communicate with team members to support daily workflow Compliance and Confidentiality: Follow all office safety and health rules Keep patient and practice information private (HIPAA) Handle all tools and materials safely and responsibly Qualifications Education: High school diploma or GED required Experience: Experience in a dental, medical, or surgical office is helpful but not required Willing to learn and follow instructions Training on tools and equipment like autoclaves will be provided Performance Requirements: Good attention to detail Able to stay organized and follow steps correctly Friendly, reliable, and works well in a team Able to stand for long periods and lift trays when needed Willing to help others and stay calm under pressure Benefits: We offer Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance plans to our full-time employees.
