Job Description Steuben County REMC is seeking a friendly, motivated and highly organized individual to fill a full-time Broadband technical support role. Duties include taking technical support calls from members and troubleshooting to identify an appropriate resolution for services associated with Wi-Fi managed routers, running / creating daily reports, backing up Member Service Representatives, equipment provisioning, performing checks on returned routers, material inventory and distribution tasks, Service Order / contract input, supporting outside technicians as needed. Additional duties as required. Qualifications Technical support knowledge and advanced computer skills are a must. General Wi-Fi router setup and IP knowledge, general understanding of DHCP / NATing, 1-2 years’ experience with direct customer contact and high school diploma required. Fiber optic systems (GPON/XGS) equipment knowledge / installation experience, Associate's degree or coursework in Business or Information Technology related field is preferred.
