Job Description The Steward is responsible for maintaining kitchen cleanliness, sanitation, and organization, supporting the back-of-house team in a fast-paced luxury dining environment. This is a full-time position with an hourly compensation rate of $29.00 an hour. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Wash, sanitize, and store dishware, utensils, and kitchen equipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient dish station. Assist chefs with basic prep tasks, including ingredient cleaning and storage. Monitor and restock clean service ware for seamless kitchen operations. Ensure compliance with health and safety sanitation protocols. Qualifications Previous experience in kitchen sanitation or stewarding preferred. Understanding of food safety regulations and HACCP guidelines. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. SKILLS Strong physical endurance and ability to work in a high-paced environment. Attention to detail in kitchen hygiene and equipment handling. Ability to multitask and support multiple kitchen stations as needed. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas Ability to move safely in uneven terrain or in confined spaces Remain active, constantly moving, or prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer throughout work shift or prolonged standing for a period Medium Work: Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of constantly moving objects, may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
