POSITION SUMMARY: The Steward properly clean, store and maintain all washable items within a sanitary and safe working environment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Operates dishwashing equipment to ensure adequate supplies of clean and sanitary tableware at all times. Maintains personal hygiene and sanitation standards as established by Health Department. Follows proper food storage, handling and preparation standards. Adheres to established Ecosure standards. Maintains a clean and safe work environment through regular floor maintenance, trash removal, proper storage of equipment and cleaning of Dish area prior to the end of each shift. Handles and uses chemicals needed to clean and sanitize tableware in a safe manner. Complete all training requirements. ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED. EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma/GED preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY Experience in and passion for consumer service Willingness to learn new skills and be a team player An attitude of flexibility and mindfulness about the team approach Clean and clear service areas Follow proper procedures as disclosed in Standard Operating Procedures as explained to staff TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: N/A PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Regular walking, standing, lifting up to 50lbs, bending, stooping, climbing, etc. INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT: Performs tasks and duties under direct supervision, using well-defined policies and procedures. Work is reviewed by supervisor. Limited opportunity exists for exercising independent judgment and decision making.
