LOCATION: PARADOX HOTELS, VANCOUVER

Job Description
As the steward/dishwasher, you will be responsible for washing dishes, kitchen cleanliness and occasional food preparation tasks in accordance with the organization’s specifications in the upcoming Paradox Hotel, for Karma Lounge, occasional events & Inn Room Dining. This position reports to the Executive Chef & Sous Chefs, essential job scope includes but is not limited to:

Responsibilities

  • Washing dishes, flatware, pots, pans, utensils & cutlery
  • Temperature checks & cleaning of the dishwashing machine
  • Maintaining sanitation standards in accordance with company policies & Safe Food Handling and local health protection standards
  • Maintain high levels of kitchen cleanliness and organization
  • Daily & weekly cleaning and maintenance to ensure a sanitary and safe work environment
  • Picking up of orders from shipping/receiving as needed
  • Gathering and collecting kitchen equipment for Banquet events as needed
  • Maintaining a respectful workplace in accordance with organizational policies and procedures
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned by the Executive Chef

Qualifications
· Previous stewarding experience in a similar environment
· Knowledge and understanding of chemicals used
· Ability to carry up to 50lbs on an occasional basis

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
