As Mackinac Island’s only full-service, casually elegant resort, our culinary team relies on dedicated Stewards to keep our kitchens clean, organized, and operating at the highest standards. We are currently seeking dependable, team-oriented Stewards / Dishwashers who take pride in their work and understand that a spotless kitchen is essential to an outstanding guest experience. About the Role As a Steward, you play a critical role in the success of our culinary operations by maintaining cleanliness and organization in all kitchen and service areas. You’ll support chefs, cooks, and service staff by ensuring plates, utensils, equipment, and workspaces are cleaned and ready for use. You’ll work in a diverse, multicultural environment where teamwork, respect, and communication are vital. Hospitality professionals who succeed in this role bring a strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude to every shift. Qualifications What We’re Looking For • Experience: Prior dishwasher or kitchen experience preferred but not required • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required • Reliability: Strong attendance and the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays • Physical Ability: Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs • Professional Traits: Dependable, hard-working, and safety-focused • Cultural Awareness: Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment with mutual respect • Location Requirement: Must be able to live and work on Mackinac Island seasonally What We Offer We value the team members who keep our resort running at its best.
