POSITION SUMMARY The purpose of this position is to ensure the overall smooth and efficient running of the Kitchen division by maintaining the proper availability, cleanliness, storage, and control of all operating equipment. The role supports the day-to-day operations of the kitchen by ensuring that equipment is well maintained, hygienically managed, and readily available to meet operational requirements while complying with the company's standards and procedures. Essential Duties The employee will be responsible for carrying out the following duties: * Being fully conversant with all departmental Standard Operating Procedures and competently performing all assigned tasks. * Ensuring that the flow, availability, and supply of operating equipment meet the operational requirements of the kitchen. * Maintaining an adequate stock of ice for emergency situations. * Monitoring and maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of all operating equipment. * Keeping swill areas clean, organised, and properly controlled. * Closely monitoring and controlling the use and movement of operating equipment. * Assisting in maintaining accurate records of all equipment entering or leaving the hotel and submitting the relevant documentation to the Accounting Department. * Assisting in conducting quarterly inventories to determine equipment requirements and support budget planning. * Ensuring that all soap and towel dispensers are filled and operational at all times. * Reporting any signs of pest infestation to the Maintenance Department and assisting in planning, implementing, and monitoring pest control measures. * Performing any other duties that may be assigned by the company from time to time in accordance with operational requirements. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Related Work Experience: At least 2 years of related work experience. Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
