ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY:

We are looking for an emerging leader to join our world-class Culinary brigade as our full-time Stewarding Team Leader. Reporting directly to our Stewarding Manager, you will work alongside the wider Kitchen team who thrive on a positive culture, innovation and the delivery of our extraordinary events!

We are looking for someone with a positive attitude looking to develop their career in the conference & events industry. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with overseeing team member management within the Stewarding department;
  • Delivering high standard preparation for all off our events, and must be able to manage staff in several sections simultaneously;
  • Assist in coordinating and delivering all arrangements related to supporting the kitchen brigade and front of house teams;
  • Assisting in training, leading and inspiring the Stewarding team members;
  • Assisting with the provision of adequate and clean operating equipment to meet the daily requirements of the kitchen and outlets;
  • Maintaining our high standards of food quality and ISO 22000 food safety compliance.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Kitchen, food handling and/or logistics experience in a fast-paced, high volume environment is desirable.
  • Eagerness to lead a large and culturally diverse team within the hospitality industry.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding role that may require some heavy lifting.
  • Ability to work across a 7-day rotating roster including day, evening and weekend work with early starts and late finishes.
  • Valid working rights in Australia.
  • You must be 18 years or over.
