QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED

• Education: Hold a Bachelor’s degree.
• Hold a valid Massachusetts Teaching License in ESL.History or Political Science/Political Philosophy at the appropriate grade level and either SEI endorsement or dual certification in ESL.
• Documented ability to teach effectively online.
• Meet all state and federal guidelines in order to be fully licensed and Highly Qualified.
• Ability to meet the Standards of Effective Teaching established by the Boston Public Schools as outlined above.
• Current authorization to work in the United States - Candidates must have such authorization by their first day of employment.

  TERMS: BTU, This is a part time stipend position at the BTU over time rate. 10 hours per week (7 instructional and three prep).

Teach: ESL and Intro to K-12 Education for Paraprofessionals in an adult setting. This 15 week program aims to prepare multilingual learners to pass the Parapro exam and gain entry level skills as a paraprofessional. Classes are held online Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and in person on Thursdays from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
