Core Competencies: Using the Rubric of Effective Teaching, the Office of Human Resources has identified priority skills and abilities that all BPS teachers should possess:

Teach: ESL and Intro to K-12 Education for Paraprofessionals in an adult setting. This 15 week program aims to prepare multilingual learners to pass the Parapro exam and gain entry level skills as a paraprofessional. Classes are held online Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and in person on Thursdays from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
