Mō te tūranga | About the role Join our Timaru team in an experienced STMS role where you’ll lead from the front and help keep our worksites safe, organised, and running smoothly. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who knows traffic management, communicates well on site, and takes real pride in doing the job properly. As a Site Traffic Management Supervisor, you’ll implement and supervise temporary traffic management across a range of worksites, working closely with foremen and crews to make sure standards are met and work can be delivered safely and efficiently. It’s a role with responsibility, variety, and the backing of a team that values good people, good work, and high standards when it counts. Ngā tino kawenga mahi | Key role responsibilities Supervise temporary traffic management on site in line with current codes of practice. Lead traffic management activities on site and guide the team to get the job done safely and efficiently. Work closely with site foremen to support smooth day-to-day operations. Identify and eliminate hazards, take part in pre-starts, and follow safety, quality, and environmental processes. Complete required traffic management training and support any other duties reasonably requested. Kei te kimi mātou i tētahi e whai ana i ēnei pūkenga | We’re looking for someone with Experience in traffic management and confidence supervising temporary traffic management on active worksites. Level 1 STMS qualification, or the ability to work towards it with our support. Experience directing and leading others, with a calm, practical approach on site. A strong safety focus, good judgement, and the confidence to push pause when needed. A reliable, team-focused mindset with good communication skills, respect for others, and pride in a job well done.
