Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Stock Administrator plays a vital role in supporting the stock management process by ensuring accurate stock tracking, timely reporting, and seamless administrative support. The role involves liaising with both internal and external stakeholders to maintain high service levels, embodying a proactive “Cleveland Can” attitude, and providing effective solutions to stock and hire-related queries.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyse stock reports, match container numbers to sales and hire orders, and input this data into MCS Software to prepare accurate invoices.
  • Review weekly stock reports and off-hire reports, ensuring timely communication of data to relevant stakeholders.
  • Assess container damage effectively and make informed decisions regarding necessary repairs, managing the process from initial evaluation through to completion. This includes raising purchase orders and liaising with relevant suppliers as required.”
  • Communicate with third party depots organise the collection of units and managing their booking in/out to support full traceability.
  • Address and resolve internal and external customer queries regarding stock and hire matters, escalating more complex issues when required.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment, consistently meeting strict deadlines.
  • Consistently reflect the ‘Cleveland Can’ value through a proactive, problem-solving approach and by maintaining a high standard of work.
