The Department of State Hospitals-Atascadero is a secure public sector hospital providing inpatient forensic services for mentally ill adult males who are court committed throughout the State of California.

The Stock Clerk will be directed by the Supervising Cook II in Nutrition Services at the Department of State Hospitals – Atascadero (ASH). The incumbent will be responsible for the following duties but not limited to:

• Coordinates the storage & issuance of cold and dry storage items, e.g., meat, poultry, seafood, egg & dairy products, produce, packaged items, canned foods, and supplies needed for production of meals & nourishments
• Follows department policies for infection control/sanitation/food safety
• Maintains documentation (records/orders)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Either I: One year of experience in the California state service performing the duties of a Service Assistant (Warehouse and Stores).
OR II: One year of experience as a stock or shipping clerk.
