Description

As a Stock Controller at Foodpoint Produce, you are responsible for the accurate receipting, handling, storage, and movement of high volumes of fruit, veg, dry, frozen items within the warehouse. You will ensure stock accuracy, product quality, supplier coordination, and the cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse environment. Your attention to detail, systems use, and stock management will support efficient operations and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse at all times.
  • Identify and report any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Receive goods accurately, checking quality, quantity, and temperature.
  • Record deliveries and stock movements in the Grownet app or relevant system.
  • Ensure correct labelling, rotation (FIFO), and segregation of stock.
  • Manage relationships with delivery drivers and suppliers on-site.
  • Highlight quality issues or supplier discrepancies to management.
  • Assist with internal stock movements, preparing stock for pickers or other areas.
  • Participate in regular stock takes and investigations of variances.
  • Identify high-risk or high-opportunity product lines for review.
  • Support general warehouse duties and assist with loading when required.
  • Follow all food hygiene, health & safety, and warehouse protocols.
  • Work closely with buyers, packers and logistics teams to anticipate stock requirements. (Accurate management of the system leads to more accurate theoretical stock holding)
  • Wear appropriate PPE (including high-vis) during all operational tasks.
