Job Description

  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly manual stock counts and reconcile physical counts against manual records.
  • Accurately record all stock movements (incoming deliveries, internal transfers, returns, and dispatches) using paper-based systems or basic spreadsheets.
  • Monitor and maintain stock accuracy to prevent discrepancies that affect order fulfilment.
  • Assist in goods-in processes, including checking quantities, quality, and labelling of incoming clothing items.
  • Organize stock within the warehouse to maintain clear visibility and easy access for picking teams.
  • Investigate stock variances and report findings to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Support manual picking, packing, and restocking activities as required.
  • Ensure correct segregation of damaged or defective items and maintain manual records of write-offs.
  • Follow all warehouse safety and manual handling procedures.
  • Participate in periodic full physical inventory counts (stock takes)

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when counting and recording stock.
  • Ability to work in a manual, paper-based environment without relying on advanced warehouse management systems.
  • Good organizational skills to manage multiple stock areas.
  • Basic numerical and literacy skills for tally sheets and reconciliation logs.
  • Ability to handle repetitive tasks while maintaining high accuracy.
  • Physical fitness to perform manual handling tasks, including lifting, moving, and counting stock.
  • Team player with strong communication skills

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Previous warehouse experience preferred, ideally in clothing or textiles.
  • Familiarity with manual stock control and counting processes.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel (optional, if some records are kept digitally)
