Description

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or any related field (preferably in Accounting or Supply Chain Management).
  • Certification in Tally or any inventory management system is a plus.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Tally ERP Skills: Proficient in Tally ERP 9/Prime, especially for inventory, stock management, and reporting.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Basic knowledge of accounting principles for stock valuation and reporting.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensure all stock entries are accurate and discrepancies are promptly addressed.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies or issues in stock levels.
  • Basic Excel Skills: Familiarity with MS Excel for reporting and analysing stock data.

EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 1-2 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing setup.
  • Experience with Tally ERP 9/Prime or similar ERP software is essential.
  • Experience in maintaining and managing inventory records for raw materials and finished goods.

Responsibilities
  1. Inventory Management:
    o Maintain accurate stock records using Tally ERP or Tally Prime.
    o Track and manage raw material, finished goods, and in-process items.
    o Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
    o Coordinate with the production department for timely material requirements.
  2. Understanding of manufacturing workflows and production processes.
  3. Stock Entry & Record Keeping:
    o Record incoming and outgoing stock transactions in Tally, ensuring accurate data entry.
    o Monitor stock levels and generate reorder reports for necessary items.
    o Create and maintain stock codes, descriptions, and unit measures in the system.
  4. Stock Reconciliation:
    o Perform monthly and periodic stock reconciliation with physical inventory.
    o Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies by comparing physical stock and system records.
  5. Material Issuance and Consumption:
    o Process material issue slips and update Tally with consumptions in the production process.
    o Coordinate with departments on material requirements for ongoing manufacturing processes.
    6.Reporting & Documentation:
    o Maintain proper documentation for stock transfers, receipts, and consumption records.
    7.Control Over Stock Movements:
    o Ensure that stock movements (inward, outward, and adjustments) are accurately recorded in Tally.
    o Monitor and control the movement of materials within the warehouse.
