Description Assist with basic purchasing of food, beverage, and general hotel supplies following established par levels and vendor agreements Receive, inspect, and verify incoming deliveries for accuracy, quality, and proper documentation Coordinate and manage incoming and outgoing deliveries for convention guests, group events, and hotel departments Conduct regular inventory counts of food, beverage, and general supplies; assist with month-end inventory processes and variance reporting Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO) Organize and maintain all storage areas to ensure cleanliness, accessibility, and compliance with hotel and health department standards Maintain hand washing stations in all food and beverage areas, ensuring proper supplies (soap, towels, sanitizer) are stocked and stations are clean and functional Perform basic sanitation and upkeep of the loading dock, stockroom, employee entrance, and designated food & beverage support areas Ensure proper storage of products according to safety, sanitation, and temperature guidelines Communicate shortages, damaged goods, or discrepancies to the Executive Chef in a timely manner Assist other departments as needed to support hotel operations, banquets, and events Requirements Previous experience in purchasing, receiving, inventory, or stockroom operations preferred Basic knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and storage procedures Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Basic computer skills for receiving logs, inventory tracking, or email communication Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs and work on feet for extended periods Flexible availability, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require Exposure to varying temperatures and outdoor conditions Moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, and standing
