Description General Summary: The Stockroom Clerk plays a critical role in managing and organizing the flow of materials and supplies within the facility. This position involves maintaining accurate inventory records, receiving and issuing materials, and ensuring the availability of necessary items to support production and operational needs. Principal Accountabilities: Ability to stock incoming parts on proper shelves as they are received in from receiving Ability to pull inventory parts from the stockroom as required from either the job pull lists or from drawing BOM lists, and deliver the pulled parts to the designated area Daily duties to include but not limited to performing daily cycle counts and keying out inventory as its pulled for projects Issue materials and supplies to production teams based on requisitions, work orders, or other documentation. Ensure that materials are issued in a timely manner to support production schedules Implement first-in, first-out (FIFO) stock rotation practices to minimize the risk of obsolete or expired materials Monitor stock levels and initiate orders for replenishment based on minimum stock levels or production requirements Coordinate with purchasing and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries of ordered materials Collaborate with production teams, purchasing, and other departments to address stockroom-related inquiries, provide updates, and support operational needs Address and resolve stockroom-related issues promptly, such as discrepancies, shortages, or damaged items, collaborating with relevant departments as needed Must be able to do all tasks in a safe and timely manner Follow all company guidelines (Lockout-tagout, PPE, Bloodborne Pathogens, HAZMAT, etc.) Other duties as assigned Description of physical working environment: Visual acuity to read and write Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stooping and bending Physical strength to lift and carry 25 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds on occasions Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a variety of hand tools Requirements Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Ability to work with minimal supervision High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in inventory management is a plus Close attention and care are required to handling parts properly to prevent damage to equipment Knowledge of Windows operating system, Outlook, Word, and Excel a must Knowledge of the company’s business systems as related to stockroom operations
