The Pizzeria Manager is responsible for day-to-day operations of the pizzeria. This pizzeria also acts as our Village coffee and ice cream shop. This is a leadership role that reports directly to the Village Dining Room Manager. Our F&B team is composed of 5 restaurants, 3 mountain lodges, and a banquets department. The winning candidate will be coachable, flexible, and have a passion for taking care of others. Past experiences demonstrate repeated sound decision-making, empathy, and patience. SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS: Demonstrate knowledge of customer service to execute Solitude’s standards Experience with POS systems is required Ensures policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers, and stakeholders Exceptional organization and time management skills Proactive problem-solving skills Professional communication skills Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting Must be punctual and reliable Ability to obtain and maintain current, valid state-required licenses and or certifications such as Food Handler’s Permit and Sips and Tips Previous leadership position in the hospitality field and understand basic management approaches Short and medium-range planning and scheduling Ability to coach and counsel Enjoy quality food and beverage- Strong BOH experience needed Responsible for making adjustments or recommended enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of job area. Work collaboratively up and down the organizational chart Obtain all necessary certifications from the State of Utah JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure the building is open in the morning and secure at night Provide day to day work direction for team, focused on maintaining steady workflow and productivity and resolving operational decisions. Handle guest complaints ·Set up cash register for the day Check in and put away deliveries Follow established company procedures Take lost and found items to the guest services Assist guests with resort directions Train all staff to Solitude Standards ·Help with menu planning Light snow removal on stairs, patio, and roof over-hangs Work the line with staff and maintain consistency Help during the budget process annually and meet COGS expectations Provide shift coverage in employees’ absence or during a break Follow company policy and procedures as set forth in the handbook Order and keep inventory of restaurant items Ensure we honor our hours of operation daily Uphold operating standards Ensure product needed for operations is on hand and stored properly Oversight of DABS regulations Anticipate potential hot spots in service and implement action plans to mitigate Learn about our financial system and how it impacts planning Participate in training staff Ensure we have a safe, inclusive work environment EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYMENT Solitude Mountain Resort is an equal opportunity employer.
