Capricorn Sandstone Quarries is seeking an experienced Stonemasons that have experience withdimensional sandstone processing techniques. We are a family-owned business with decades ofexperience in quarrying and manufacturing of Australian sandstone, located in Stanwell, Queensland.
The role is a newly created position due to the business growth, and is an outstanding opportunity fora highly driven and talented individual to develop and diversify their skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

Cert 111 Stonemasonry
At least 2 years of on-the-job training
An interest in finding solutions and solving problems
Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and reporting skills

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

The ability to pass pre-employment medical and health monitoring as required under the Mining & Quarrying Safety & Health Act.

Follow design instructions to carve and shape stone
Study plans and other specifications
Handling sandstone with care
Maintain Quality Control and Packaging stone securely

Show interest in learning new skills and have input on ways to improve efficiencies
Be physically fit
