POSITION SUMMARY

The Stop Loss Specialist will be responsible for supporting the underwriting and compliance functions by coordinating data management, document preparation, and administrative processes for stop loss insurance accounts. This role ensures accurate and complete documentation, facilitates communication with brokers and TPAs, and provides critical support to underwriters and compliance staff to maintain operational efficiency and regulatory adherence.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

  • Minimum 3 years of related work experience.
  • BA/BS degree preferred.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and maintain accurate records.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe, and KU Underwriting Software.
  • Understanding of stop loss insurance, self-funded health plans, level-funded health plans, and related terminology.
  • Ability to work independently and complete assignments within given parameters, routines, and accepted underwriting practices.
