Description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Storage Administrator to join a National Security Contract located in Radford, VA through 100% full onsite presence. The Storage Administrator will manage, maintain, and secure enterprise-level storage systems in a mixed-environment of network-attached storage (NAS), fiber channel (FC) storage, and FC switches. The Storage Administrator will design, configure, troubleshoot, and monitor storage systems while ensuring optimal performance, security, and compliance.

Responsibilities of the Storage Administrator include:

  • Oversee installation, configuration, and security of storage systems to maintain high availability
  • Identify and resolve storage performance issues, proactively analyze system utilization, and apply long-term solutions
  • Refresh data across environments and ensure effective service delivery for application owners
  • Develop standard operation procedures (SOPs) and storage policies while following ITIL change management practices
  • Requires experience in Linux & Windows Server, PowerShell & Bash scripting CLI skills, and network storage administration (NAS & FC)

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE STORAGE ADMINISTRATOR INCLUDE:

  • 5+ years of experience with storage administration with enterprise-level IT environment
  • 2+ years of experience with Network Attached Storage Administration
  • 2+ years of experience with Block Storage and FC Network Administration
  • 2+ years of experience with Linux & Windows Server 2019/2022
  • Experience with scripting, using PowerShell 2.0+, bash, and simple scripting
  • Strong CLI skills
  • Available for 24x7 on-call support rotation during mission-critical situations
  • Security+ Certification
  • Active secret clearance
