About the Role We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Storage Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, management, and optimization of our enterprise-scale storage environment. The ideal candidate will possess deep hands-on expertise with Dell Technologies' storage portfolio and Brocade SAN switches, ensuring high availability, performance, and security for our business-critical applications. Key Responsibilities Architecture & Implementation: Design, deploy, and configure enterprise storage solutions including Dell PowerMax, VMAX All-Flash (AF), PowerScale (Isilon), PowerStore, ECS, and Unity. SAN Management: Administer and troubleshoot Brocade Fibre Channel switches, including zoning, configuration, and firmware management. Storage Provisioning & Optimization: Provision storage using multi-protocol support (iSCSI, FC, NFS, SMB, S3) to meet application requirements. Continuously monitor and optimize storage performance and capacity. Lifecycle Management: Perform routine maintenance, firmware upgrades, and capacity planning for the entire storage and SAN infrastructure. Troubleshooting & Resolution: Act as an escalation point for complex storage and SAN-related issues, providing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. Automation & Scripting: Develop and implement automation scripts (using tools like Ansible, Python, or PowerShell) to streamline storage provisioning and operational tasks. Documentation & Standards: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, operational runbooks, and architectural diagrams. Collaboration: Work closely with application, database, and server teams to deliver integrated and robust infrastructure solutions. Experience: A minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in managing enterprise storage and SAN environments. Dell Technologies Expertise: In-depth knowledge and administrative experience with Dell PowerMax / VMAX AF. Strong hands-on experience with PowerScale (Isilon), PowerStore, ECS, and Unity platforms. Brocade SAN Skills: Proven experience in administering and configuring Brocade DCX/VDX series switches and directors. Storage Protocols: Comprehensive understanding and practical experience with storage protocols including Fibre Channel (FC), iSCSI, NFS, SMB/CIFS, and Object Storage (S3). Core Competencies: Strong understanding of storage replication technologies (Sync/Async). Experience with performance monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting tools. Solid knowledge of Linux and/or Windows operating systems as they relate to storage. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications A background working in Telecommunications or Banking/Financial Services industries, with an understanding of their specific high-availability, low-latency, and security requirements. Relevant industry certifications such as: Dell Technologies Proven Professional (e.g., DECS- PowerMax, DECS- PowerStore) Brocade Certified Fabric Administrator (BCFA) Experience with cloud storage (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud integrations. Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles and DevOps practices in a storage context.
