QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 6-8 years of relevant storage administration experience (NetApp Storage, Netbackup, Windows OS, VMware, and Red Hat Linux OS system Administration experience)
  • Certifications
  • NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer SAN Specialist, ONTAP
  • NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer Data Protection Specialist
  • NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer SAN Specialist, E-Series
  • NetApp Certified Support Engineer ONTAP Specialist
  • VMware VCP (vSphere 7 or above)
  • Passed score for the Veritas NetBackup 10.x Administrator exam
  • BS/BA degree in a related area or equivalent experience
  • Operational experience in a high volume environment
  • Must be able to come on site as needed.
  • Candidate must work in the United States, per NERC CIP regulations.
  • U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency
  • Candidate must successfully pass a background investigation.
  • WWT prefers candidates who reside in the Southern California area.
  • WWT prefers candidates who have the Veritas VCP certification.

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $85,000 to $100,000. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.

Requirements:

Responsibilities
  • Perform NetApp administration for all NetApp C (FAS) and E series storage systems, utilizing NFS, CIFS, FC, and iSCSI protocols for data access.
  • Perform storage maintenance, upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting.
  • Perform storage system lifecycle work, including decommissioning and re-utilization of old hardware, disk shelves, tape drives, etc.
  • Leverage NetApp Snapshot and SnapMirror technologies for data access and movement.
  • Perform Netbackup administration, including scheduling, catalog, and data mover administration.
  • Perform NetBackup backups, restores, and archives.
  • Perform Netbackup agent installation across Windows and Linux; perform integration of Netbackup with VMware.
  • Perform Netbackup maintenance, software and device upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting.
  • Perform VMware vSphere/ESXi, VSAN, vCenter, and vCenter Operations Manager, administration, maintenance, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle work, including planned failovers and failbacks, as well as troubleshootin
  • Providing knowledge transfer to other team members to enabling cross-team coverage.
  • Support and participate in case management, maintenance renewals, and new equipment purchases.
  • Experience successfully working in an SLO-driven environment
  • Willing to perform rotational on-call support to include weekends and non-standard working hours in a high-volume environment.
  • Perform Windows and Red Hat Linux system administration, security patching, OS upgrades, troubleshooting issues and ensuring maximum availability.
  • Monitor system health and configurations to ensure system health and functionality.
