Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in receiving incoming materials and verify quantities and conditions against delivery notes and purchase orders.
  • Inspect materials for any damage or discrepancies and report issues to the Storekeeper immediately.
  • Store materials in designated locations following proper storage procedures and warehouse standards.
  • Assist in issuing materials to production and project teams according to approved material requests.
  • Organize stock systematically to ensure easy identification, accessibility, and efficient warehouse operations.
  • Support regular stock counts, inventory reconciliation, and annual stock audits.
  • Load, unload, move, and arrange materials using safe handling practices.
  • Label, sort, and maintain inventory to ensure accurate stock identification.
  • Keep the warehouse, storage racks, and surrounding areas clean, organized, and free from safety hazards.
  • Follow company safety policies and proper material handling procedures at all times.
  • Report damaged, expired, missing, or low-stock materials to the Storekeeper.
  • Assist with maintaining inventory records and updating stock movements in manual or computerized inventory systems.
  • Coordinate with production, procurement, and project teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Perform other warehouse-related duties assigned by the Storekeeper or Warehouse Supervisor.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • 2–3 years of experience in a warehouse, store, or inventory environment (construction or manufacturing experience is an advantage).
  • Basic understanding of inventory control and warehouse procedures.
  • Ability to lift, move, and handle materials safely.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel or inventory software is an advantage).
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills in English; knowledge of Hindi or other regional languages is an added advantage.
  • Physically fit and capable of working in a warehouse environment.
