Whitchurch Sweets is a New business based in Whitchurch, Hampshire, Initially starting as an online only business offering local deliveries we are now opening a shop in Whitchurch. The expected start date for this role is 29th August 2025

OVERVIEW

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join us in the exciting journey. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. You will assist in maintaining the store’s visual standards and contribute to achieving sales.
We are looking for someone to work Saturdays from 12-6pm initially, Overtime may be available depending on business requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not essential.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
• A friendly and approachable demeanour with a passion for helping others.
• Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when required.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Basic numerical skills for handling transactions and stock management.

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs.
• Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system.
• Maintain a clean and organised store environment, ensuring shelves are stocked and displays are appealing.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a professional manner.
• Participate in inventory management, including receiving shipments and conducting stock checks.
• We are looking for someone ideally with experience opening/closing stores as this will be part of this role
