Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are: Ensuring all storerooms are secure at all time, and that all received goods are stored in their correct location. To control stock in designed storeroom by means of stock rotation and keeping appropriate par stock levels. To initiate action for stoppage of further purchasing when the stock level approaches the maximum limit. To reserve a particular material for a specific job when so required, in case of emergency or in order to replace outdated material, suggests substitutes available in the store. Maintaining storerooms, passageways, floors, walls, office areas and dock areas so that the highest degree of sanitation is kept. Ensuring that all requisitions are fully completed and checked before being released to the respective departments. Ensuring all requisition is properly authorized. To check the book balances, with the actual physical stock at frequent intervals by way of internal control over wrong issues. To prepare and communicate with concern the slow-moving item report, expiration date reports and list of eventual shortages of products. Make recommendations to the Storekeeper regarding stock movement and also report on obsolete stocks. Supporting Storekeeper during the operation or handling in his absence. Qualifications High School diploma Previous experience in same position for at least 1 year.
