Description Job Summary Performs accurate and efficient register transactions and assists with receiving, stocking, and display of grocery products, maintains department cleanliness, and provides customer service. About Concord Food Cooperative Concord Food Co-op is a natural foods grocery store, bakery, and café with locations in Concord, NH and New London, NH. A pillar of Main St., the Co-op strives to support and enhance the New Hampshire community by only stocking ethically-sourced natural foods and through positive cooperative action in-store and in the community. Essential Job Duties Accept payment and accurately make change for transactions utilizing the POS system Ability to enter correct prices, departments, and PLUs for products Ability to balance cash draw at end of shift and meet over/short goal Invites/recruits non-member customers to become members of the Co-op Follow state laws and Co-op policies regarding the sale of alcohol Assisting customers with product questions in a friendly, courteous manner and answers/directs calls as necessary Facing and organizing shelves, end caps, and sale displays Keeping departmental shelves and display areas stocked, neat, clean, and product(s) rotated Always presenting self and Co-op in a professional manner Additional Duties Assists in special projects, assists in other departments as needed, and performs other duties as assigned Requirements Essential Skills Good customer service skills for both internal and external customers Strong attention to detail Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to take direction and work independently Ability to multi-task and good organizational skills Willing to learn or improve on current skills Essential Physical Requirements Standing for long periods, bending, walking, reaching, and sitting Ability to climb up and down stepladders and stairs daily Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs as needed throughout the day Experience and Educational Requirements There are no educational requirements, though grocery or natural foods experience is a plus. Must be 18 years of age or older.
