The Arc of the Quad Cities Area is searching for a Store Clerk to join their Commissary team! 😄 *Please note that this position is reserved for someone with an intellectual or developmental disability.* Where would I be working? This position will be based out of the Rock Island Arsenal (RIA) Commissary.  What does the schedule look like? You will be scheduled to work 28 hours a week, Monday through Friday, during 1st shift hours. The hours for this position go as follows. Monday: 8 AM - 2 PM Tuesday: 7:30 AM - 1 PM Wednesday: 8 AM - 2 PM Thursday: 8 AM - 12 PM Friday: 6:30 AM - 1 PM   What duties would I be doing in this position? The responsibilities include lifting and transporting food cases for long periods, standing and walking for extended durations, and reaching or bending to access items on high or low shelves. Experience in using manual and electric pallet jacks is required, and the ability to operate a forklift after receiving proper training and certification. Additionally, providing professional and courteous customer service, communicating clearly with supervisors, team members, and store staff, and following instructions accurately are essential. Their duties also include unloading food cases from pallets onto sorting pallets, restocking grocery shelves, checking expiration dates, organizing food cases within the warehouse, and maintaining records of stocked cases.  What qualifications would I need? 1.   Demonstrated ability to perform the requirements of the contract 2.   Ability to communicate effectively and follow directions required 3.   Strength and flexibility to lift and reach stock items  4.   Moving equipment and supplies, occasionally weighing up to 40 lbs. 5.   Stand, bend, kneel, and walk for the majority of the shift 6.   Have a documented disability and the ability to show proof of such  Please refer to the attached job description for more information regarding the job duties and responsibilities.
