For more information, visit www.pepsico.com. Responsibilities Job Overview: Optimize management of packaging materials. Ensuring materials are administrated (captured on SAP) and stored in the correct storage location. Monitoring of stock levels of materials and ordering as per production requirements. Investigating and reconciling discrepancies. Inventory Management: Maintaining accurate records of packaging material stock levels, including tracking receipts, storage, usage, and returns. Stock Counts: Conducting regular physical stock counts and reconciling them with inventory records. Discrepancy Resolution: Investigating and resolving any discrepancies between physical stock and recorded stock levels. Receiving and Storage: Ensuring the correct and timely receipt, identification, and storage of all incoming packaging materials. Material Usage: Maintaining accurate records of packaging material usage and reconciling it with production data. Order Management: Working with procurement to ensure timely ordering of new packaging materials to avoid stockouts. Safety Compliance: Adhering to health and safety regulations related to the storage and handling of packaging materials. Collaboration: Working with other departments, such as procurement, warehousing, and production, to ensure smooth material flow. System Proficiency: Utilizing inventory management system EWM and PGT and other relevant tools. Specific tasks might include: Daily reconciliation of packaging material usage in the packing plant. Reconciling physical counts with issued and returned materials. Assisting with monthly stock counts and cycle counts. Checking for and resolving any stock variances. Ensuring the decanting schedule is maintained. Filing relevant documentation for audit purposes. Tracking and managing stock movements, including receiving, storage, issuing, and stock rotation. Identifying and reporting on any damaged or faulty packaging materials. Working with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials. Implementing and maintaining inventory control systems. Qualifications Tertiary relevant qualification 2-3 years stock control experience in the FMCG industry is preferred Computer literacy, especially Intermediate to advanced Excel skills are often required for data analysis and reporting GMP and Cleaning and Sanitation Proven Software Experience, particularly PGT or similar Supervisory skills Attention to detail “PepsiCo is an Equal Opportunity Employer in line with the Employment Equity Act"
