JOB DESCRIPTION

SWL Security is looking to recruit an additional full time store detective to join a team supporting a group of retail stores in the South of England, on a 40hr a week contract.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with an SIA Approved Contractor in a specialist role bridging the gap between our clients’ businesses and the Police.
You will visit retail businesses in the South to effect the arrest of specifically targeted offenders that have been selected for legal action by our crime analysis team.
The ideal candidate will be flexible as the role requires you to work a mixture of days, evenings and weekends with some travel involved - although based in Southampton the team will be joining additional teams in covering the southern counties (Avon & Somerset/Dorset/Hampshire/Sussex/Kent).
Role specific training is provided by SWL Security, this includes law classes, control & restraint training and handcuff training from an industry leading expert with over 20 years experience.
This role is suitable for objective driven and results orientated people with a passion for protecting people that are looking for full-time, long-term employment.

Licence/Certification:

• SIA Licence (required)
• Full UK driver’s license (no more than 3 points) (required)

Other Requirements:

• Five-year checkable employment / education history for vetting purposes.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Previous experience in working in the retail environment is preferred.
• Previous law enforcement experience is advantageous.
