Job Title: Store Development Manager (Real Estate)
Location: Downtown Toronto (position requires some travels to stores, presence at the office 5 days a week is preferred)
Reporting to: Director of Real Estate (North America)

POSITION OVERVIEW

The store development department is a unit that executes where, what, and how to open stores when developing group brand stores in each country, and is an important division that is responsible for business expansion. In particular, store development involves the development of stores, which are points of contact with customers. We will manage individual stores that value the history and culture of the area where we open stores and build stores that are rooted in local people. It plays an important role in maximizing business not only in Japan but also overseas and group companies.

Job Description:

  • Planning of store development strategy for new direct operated stores and store development activities
  • Secure new properties, negotiate conditions (delivery conditions, economic conditions, etc.), negotiate contracts, schedule adjustment and management until opening
  • Contract management for existing stores and build relations with landlords, contractors, and vendors
  • Business report / consultation / coordination etc. to the internal brand management company
  • Collaborate with global teams to align Canadian stores with UNIQLO’s brand standards
  • Implement scalable processes to accelerate store openings across Canada
  • Other reasonable duties as assigned.
