POSITION OVERVIEW

Providing leadership of Air Inuit’s Stores department.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse management.
  • High school diploma required; a degree in logistics or supply chain management is an asset.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Must be available for occasional travel on Air Inuit’s network and/or to supplier/conference sites.
Responsibilities
  • Maintaining the appearance and efficient operations of the stores
  • Work closely with purchasing team to coordinate the receiving of any products
  • Reach out to different carrier and request quotes for different shipments by providing a comparison which will help ensure the cost-effective choice and use of outside transport, forwarding and customs agents
  • Communicate with the different stakeholders as required. (Sales team, Production team
  • Oversee all shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of orders
  • Manage stores staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
  • Monitor and improve operational efficiency to reduce costs and increase productivity.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve shipping/receiving discrepancies
  • Ensure compliance and training in regard to shipping of dangerous goods
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through proper documentation and cycle counting
  • Other projects as assigned by the VP Maintenance
