PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous retail experience
  • Knowledge of Shopify platform
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and credit transactions

Responsibilities

As the Sales Manager, you’ll take ownership of the store’s success by:

  • Role-modeling professionalism in communication, appearance, and conduct
  • Leading the opening and closing of the store, maintaining a clean and inviting environment
  • Overseeing merchandising and window displays to reflect the Blue Sky aesthetic
  • Ensuring the store is organized and welcoming, providing outstanding customer experiences
  • Recruiting, mentoring, and training new team members, setting clear expectations and supporting growth
  • Teaching and reinforcing theft prevention protocols and operational best practices
  • Creating and managing staff schedules to support efficient store coverage and service
  • Resolving conflicts and customer concerns with calm, clarity, and empathy
  • Managing store financials, including balancing deposits, managing petty cash, and tracking sales performance
  • Motivating your team to consistently meet and exceed sales goals
  • Communicating clearly with head office, the warehouse, and other locations
  • Managing inventory, including receiving shipments, transfers, and handling damaged goods properly
  • Fulfilling online, phone, and wholesale orders promptly and accurately
