We are currently looking for Store Managers in Mic Mac Mall, Halifax.
We are seeking several Store Managers to join our dynamic and growing company. As a Store Manager, you will oversee a retail store within a designated area, Montreal & Quebec City. You will be responsible for leading team members, driving sales performance, and ensuring high standards of customer service across your area. This role requires close collaboration with the Area Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
· Greet guests as they enter the shop, ask whether they would like assistance with anything and provide help if needed in a friendly, hospitable and efficient manner.
· Delivering excellent service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
· Ability to multitask, while being attentive to customers and remaining flexible to the needs of the business.
· Operate a cash register and perform related tasks, including cash handling, credit card processing and opening and closing of the register when on the first or last shift of the day; prepare bank deposits.
· Knowledge of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
· Remain knowledgeable about and answer questions related to merchandise, sales, promotions, and store policy.
· Ensure availability of merchandise and services; maintaining inventories; developing and arranging promotional material and in-store displays.
· Oversee and control shrinkage and report to Area Manager or Lost Prevention Manager.
· Monitoring team performance and ensuring duties are performed efficiently.
· Provide training to improve the knowledge base of the staff and utilize cross-training methods to maintain productivity when employees are absent.
· Maintain store staff job results by counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring and appraising job results.
· Deal with staffing issues such as interviewing potential staff, conducting appraisals and performance reviews, as well as providing or organizing training and development.
· Managing time-off requests, absenteeism, and last-minute schedule changes to maintain regular store operation hours.
· Develop a schedule of holiday activities and promotions throughout the year strategically designed to bring in more revenue.
· Address customer and employee complaints.
· Inspect equipment and communicate the need for repairs or replacements to Retail Operation Management.
· Ensure health and safety standards are followed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Eligible to work in Canada.
· Minimum of High School Graduate.
· Experience in fast-paced retail stores.
· Minimum 2 years of experience Retail Management experience.
REQUIREMENTS:
· A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus.
· Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
· Familiarity with inventory procedures.
· Ability to lift merchandise weighing up to 35 pounds.
· Hands-on experience with POS transactions.
· Proven experience as a Shift Leader or relevant managerial role.
· Leadership and team building skills are essential as working with a diverse group is an important function of the position.
· Experience with interviewing, hiring, and evaluating candidates, and assessing employee performance.
· Ability to effectively prioritize challenges and concerns as well as facilitating a positive experience for other employees and customers.
· Knowledge of the industry and relevant health and safety regulations.
· Extensive experience in a retail environment.
