STORE MANAGER – CAMBRIDGE SATCHEL, NEW BOND STREET, BATH

This is a full-time, on-site position for a Store Manager at Cambridge Satchel’s new store on New Bond Street in Bath, scheduled to open in June 2025
The Store Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the store, driving sales performance, ensuring customer satisfaction through exceptional service, overseeing store operations, and implementing effective retail loss prevention strategies.

Responsibilities
  • Lead by example, ensuring exceptional service is provided by the entire team
  • Set, monitor, and strive to exceed weekly and monthly store targets
  • Inspire and manage the team to maintain high performance, both individually and collectively
  • Foster customer relationships and ensure the delivery of impeccable service
  • Communicate key targets and updates clearly to staff through regular briefings
  • Build and maintain team morale through motivation and support
  • Handle recruitment and onboarding of new staff members
  • Analyse store performance and compile in-depth sales reports
  • Manage stock levels and make informed decisions on stock control
  • Ensure the store is prepared for sales and promotions
  • Maintain awareness of retail market trends and local competitor activity
  • Handle customer enquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring loyalty retention
  • Oversee financial and security procedures, including banking and cash handling
  • Manage HR matters including rotas, payroll, holidays, and resolving issues in collaboration with HR
  • Maintain high standards of visual merchandising and store presentation
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and resolve any security issues
  • Act as a key point of contact for Head Office and build relationships with other store managers
