We are looking for an experienced and passionate Store Manager to lead our Warringah Mall store. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded retail leader who loves developing people, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and driving strong business results.

About the Role

As Store Manager, you will take ownership of the store's performance, culture and customer experience. You will lead a knowledgeable and enthusiastic team, creating an environment where customers love to shop and team members love to work.

You will be responsible for building a high-performing team, delivering sales growth, maintaining operational excellence and ensuring every customer receives outstanding service.

This is a full-time role worked across five days per week, Tuesday to Saturday, with occasional Sunday trading when required.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Multi-State Manager, you will:

  • Drive store performance through achievement of sales, profitability and Booklover membership targets
  • Monitor and optimise key retail KPIs including sales conversion, average transaction value and add-on sales
  • Recruit, coach and develop a high-performing team that consistently delivers exceptional customer experiences
  • Create a strong sales culture by leading from the front and engaging with customers daily
  • Manage inventory, stock flow, shrinkage and operating expenses to achieve financial objectives
  • Maintain high standards of visual merchandising, presentation and operational compliance
  • Execute national campaigns and identify local opportunities to drive traffic and sales
  • Analyse performance trends and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Foster a workplace culture that is inclusive, collaborative and customer-focused


About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Proven experience leading a retail store or customer-facing business
  • A strong track record of achieving sales, profitability and customer service targets
  • Demonstrated leadership capability with experience coaching and developing teams
  • Commercial acumen and confidence working with sales reports and performance metrics
  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong planning, organisation and problem-solving abilities
  • A passion for books, gifts, stationery or specialty retail
  • Experience with retail management systems (Advance Retail and Kronos Workforce Ready highly
