Description Job Title: Store Manager Position Summary: The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring that all departments are fully staffed, trained, and operate according to company standards. This role includes managing all financial aspects of the store, maintaining the physical location, and executing corporate directives. The Store Manager leads the team to drive performance and ensures compliance with company policies and industry standards. General Purpose: The Store Manager is accountable for the overall financial performance and operational success of the store. This includes managing budgets, ensuring all departments meet sales and expense goals, and maintaining a high standard of customer service. The Store Manager is also responsible for staffing, training, and leading the team to meet performance goals while upholding company values and standards. Responsibilities: Prepare monthly and annual budgets with assistance and is responsible for the overall profit and loss financial performance of the store, including sales, gross profit, and controllable expenses. Maintain constant follow-up to ensure budgeted sales, gross profit, and controllable expenses are being achieved. Oversee store activities to ensure successful operations and compliance with various checks and audits, including Safety/Food Safety, Human Resources, Merchandising, Loss Prevention, Department of Labor, OSHA, and others. Ensure company merchandising and inventory programs are followed, collaborating with corporate business partners as needed to meet operational and merchandising standards. Implement and maintain work schedules, labor control, and store payroll expense control programs for the entire store. Model high standards of customer service to create a customer-focused store environment. Interact with the local community to positively position the company’s presence and contribute to the store’s reputation. Manage departments, including staffing, training, performance management, career development, and monitoring department goals. Develop and monitor department budgets as required, ensuring the effective use of resources. Stay current with industry trends and best practices, making recommendations to improve current programs and processes. Ensure that all store policies and procedures are followed by all staff members and take corrective action when necessary. Drive sales by ensuring the store is organized, inventory is stocked, and displays are well-maintained and properly merchandised. Provide leadership to staff, fostering a positive, motivated, and productive work environment. Address customer concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty. Other duties as assigned by upper management. Minimum of 2+ years of experience in an assistant store manager or similar role. Strong financial acumen with the ability to prepare and manage budgets, analyze financial performance, and adjust operational strategies as needed. Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop staff, set goals, and monitor performance. Extensive knowledge of store operations, including safety, food safety, merchandising, loss prevention, and labor management. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, staff, and corporate partners to meet objectives. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions and take corrective actions when necessary. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
