TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Customer Service: Train employees to provide extraordinary service to our customer base. 2. Physical Location: Responsible for cleanliness, maintenance, and general store appearance, including shelves, food areas, restrooms, and outside. Responsible for safety in all areas. 3. Knowledge and Maintenance of Equipment: Determine when pumps need service, maintain cooler/freezer temperature and clean as needed, understand POS systems and troubleshooting, ensure equipment is protected and clean, follow alarm system and time clock policy. 4. Personnel: Hire and train store staff, including compliance with liquor, tobacco, and labor laws, responsible for store morale and positive employee attitude toward customers, responsible for keeping weekly store hours within budget. 5. Merchandising/Inventory: Order, maintain, and control inventory from approved vendors, follow check-in procedures for vendors and ensure proper quantities and pricing. 6. Sales Reconciliation: Responsible for safeguarding and depositing receipts, reconciles receipts against sales records and accurately inputs information and adjustments into back-office computer. PREREQUISITES Education: High School graduate, some college-level coursework preferred Experience & Skills: Enjoys working with people. Supervisory experience in retail operations or closely related field. Excellent communication skills and an ability to deal with all levels of employees. Mature, dependable, strong work ethic, and willing to lead team. Highly organized and a willingness to maintain a flexible schedule. Basic math, calculator and computer skill. Physical: Must be able to work any area of the store when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. Position requires bending, standing, and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
