We’re looking for a Store Manager to join our team in our Battersea store. If you’re an experienced leader with a passion for great food, customer service and the environment, this is a fantastic opportunity to progress. We are a unique packaging free supermarket which focuses on providing a great customer experience whilst reducing our impact on the planet. The Source Bulk Foods UK is growing quickly providing plenty of opportunities to develop.
The Store manager role is a challenging one, and we are looking for people who want to stretch themselves and are great at multi-tasking. A successful Store Manager is someone who is driven by customer service, loves being part of a performing team and doesn’t mind lifting weights (our bulk food sacks can weigh up to 25kgs!) People who are foodies, driven by the zero-waste movement or interested in nutrition will love working with us.
The Source Bulk Foods UK is owned by Mak and Pat, two very passionate Aussies who have made the UK their home. Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

*mentor and coach your team to deliver fantastic customer service in store
* create a great working environment for your team
* build strong links with the local community and our awesome suppliers
* create a store environment that is fun for colleagues and our customers
* react quickly and positively to changing priorities in store
* review new ways to increase sales and improve store performance
* develop, mentor and monitor your team to reach their best
* manage our inventory to minimise waste and maintain quality
* seek out opportunities to reduce our environmental impact and waste
* Manage our online orders
* Local area marketing and management of the stores Instagram

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO HAVE:

  • previous experience as a manager, preferably within retail or hospitality
  • an interest working in a new and exciting retail concept that is at the forefront of the zero-waste movement
  • Experience in improving business performance
  • experience working closely with your colleagues in a customer facing environment
  • the ability to manage changing and often conflicting priorities
  • is physically fit
