The Retail Store Manager oversees daily operations, addressing challenges while ensuring compliance with Sessions Cannabis policies and government regulations. This role offers an exciting opportunity for those entering the cannabis industry at a management level.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Retail management experience.
  • Valid CannSell Cannabis Retail Certification.
  • Ability to obtain a Cannabis Retail Manager License.
  • Knowledge of cannabis products and related laws is an asset.
  • Strong inventory management skills and advanced computing proficiency (Microsoft Word and Excel).
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work flexible hours.
  • Reliable transportation may be required.
  • Must be 19+.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as sitting, standing, walking, and lifting boxes up to 25lbs.
  • Some travel may be required, along with the capability to attend presentations.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Recruit, train, and develop staff; maintain a culture of accountability.
  • Foster cross-functional teams to execute initiatives and drive operational standards.
  • Analyze store financials (KPIs, sales, gross margin) to enhance sales and expense opportunities.
  • Create a customer-centric environment and ensure high levels of service.
  • Manage store presentations to create an inviting shopping experience.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with the community and stakeholders.
  • Prepare detailed operating plans, manage store maintenance, and coordinate back-office functions.
  • Communicate with AGCO, OCS, and Health Canada as needed.

  • Hire, train, discipline, and manage staff.
  • Conduct incident reporting and monitor store operations.

    The Retail Store Manager is responsible for ensuring all store duties are performed efficiently and effectively while maintaining accurate records of all operations.
