SUMMARY:

The Store Manager is responsible for the overall management and success of Manga Spot. This leadership role entails overseeing daily operations, staff management, customer service, inventory control, sales growth, and maintaining a welcoming store environment. The Store Manager will uphold the store’s standards, foster a positive team culture, and ensure that the store remains a vibrant destination for manga enthusiasts.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in retail management, ideally in a bookstore or related industry.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • A genuine passion for manga and a good understanding of various literary genres and authors.

  • Recruit, hire, train, and mentor a team of sales clerks and assistant managers.

  • Uphold a high standard of customer service, ensuring that customers receive exceptional assistances, recommendations, and a positive shopping experience.
  • Set sales target, monitor performances, and implement strategies to achieve sales goals.
  • Oversee inventory control, including replenishment, restocking, and proper shelving of products.
  • Maintain an organized, visually appealing store layout that highlights featured titles and encourages browsing.
  • Ensure the store operates in compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Implement safety measures to protect staff, customers, and store assets.
  • Ensure effective communication with the main office and its Managers.
