Description Position Overview We’re looking for a hands-on Store Manager to lead our Charlotte retail location while also managing local swim events. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, enjoys building relationships, and can balance store operations with event-based sales. You’ll be responsible for driving store performance, leading a team, managing inventory, and supporting swim teams through fittings, meets, and custom orders. Requirements Key Responsibilities Retail Store Management Oversee daily store operations, sales performance, and customer experience Hire, train, and lead retail staff to meet sales and service goals Create and manage employee schedules Maintain merchandising standards and store organization Manage inventory, stock levels, and product flow Build relationships with local swim teams (club, high school, summer league) Coordinate and execute team fittings, meets, and events Provide on-site sales support at swim meets Manage custom orders (team suits, caps, apparel, and webstores) Partner with internal teams and vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery Operations Utilize retail and communication systems (Salespad, Lightspeed, MS Teams) Resolve customer issues and order discrepancies Stay current on product knowledge and industry trends Qualifications 2+ years of retail management or store leadership experience Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Experience with inventory management and sales tracking Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Customer-focused mindset with a strong attention to detail Experience in aquatics, swimming, or team sports sales Preferred: Bachelor's degree preferred Familiarity with event-based or seasonal sales environments Schedule & Work Environment Full-time role based on retail store hours Evening and weekend availability required (especially during peak swim seasons) Active role requiring standing, lifting (30+ lbs), and event setup Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary 401(k) program Employee discounts Opportunity for growth within a specialized, team-focused industry About Kiefer Aquatics Kiefer Aquatics is a leading provider of swim gear, team apparel, and equipment, serving competitive swim teams and retail customers nationwide.
