About the role: As the Family Store Manager, you will oversee all day-to-day operations — from retail and recycling to administrative functions — ensuring alignment with The Salvation Army’s values and community-focused purpose. How you will make an impact: As Family Store Manager, you will be responsible for: Overseeing all daily retail operations, ensuring smooth functioning of the store, including: Store presentation and cleanliness Stock rotation and merchandising Pricing in accordance with TSA policies POS service and cash register operations High-quality customer service delivery Promoting and maintaining a strong customer-first culture Effectively marketing merchandise and managing timely removal of old or unsuitable stock Coordinating incoming and outgoing stock, including planning sales and promotional activities Managing store financials, including accurate money handling and banking processes, in line with TSA procedures Ensuring all security measures are effective and compliant You will also lead and support a team of employees and volunteers, including recruitment, onboarding, and training. This includes engaging participants in programs such as Work for the Dole, State Debt Recovery, or similar community-based initiatives.
