JOB DESCRIPTION

Since 1996, Trees Organic Coffee has been committed to preserving traditional coffee-making methods while offering a unique experience. The original store, which launched the company’s success, is located in Vancouver’s downtown core at 450 Granville Street.
Beyond coffee, Trees has gained a reputation in Vancouver for its exceptional cheesecakes. Crafted from a special recipe, these light and flavorful cheesecakes are available in a variety of flavors and can be purchased by the slice or whole in two different sizes.
We are currently seeking the right candidate to work at our location at 988 Expo Blvd, Vancouver, BC, V6Z 0G2.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum High School Diploma.
  • Must hold Food Safe Level 1 Certificate.
  • 1-2 years of previous experience as a Store Manager in the coffee industry or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience managing a team of 5 or more individuals.
  • Three professional references required (family and relatives are not acceptable).
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Availability to work both weekdays and weekends.
Responsibilities
  • Manage operations within company budgets to meet sales targets and control expenses, including cost of sales, labor, repairs, maintenance, and others.
  • Oversee and coordinate daily business operations.
  • Implement local store marketing strategies and promote the business.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of products and services.
  • Manage and report cash flow.
  • Engage with customers and handle correspondence to ensure satisfaction.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service, food quality, and cleanliness.
  • Ensure compliance with all government health and safety regulations.
  • Foster strong customer relationships.
  • Coordinate staff activities, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
  • Boost staff morale through motivation and engagement.
  • Provide ongoing training to develop team skills.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Mentor and develop assistant managers, supervisors, and trainers.
  • Oversee store maintenance and cleanliness.
  • Assist with updating operational processes and systems.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain positive relationships with suppliers.
  • Report operational issues and achievements to senior management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by senior management.
