KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Qualification/Work experience: Candidate should have either of the following:
  • At least NZQF Diploma (Level 4) or equivalent OR higher, OR,

-At least two years of relevant experience.

  • Ability to work and take decisions independently as this store will not be overseen by the store owners
  • Strong leadership, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage inventory, sales, and staff effectively.
  • Sales-driven mindset with a focus on profitability and growth.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily store operations to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Manage inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing waste.
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies to make the store have competitive edge
  • Drive sales and promotions to increase customer footfall and revenue.
  • Monitor food safety and hygiene practices for hot food and beverage preparation.
  • Ensure accurate cash handling, POS operations, and financial record-keeping
  • Hire, train, and manage store persons, fostering a productive and customer-friendly team.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best deals and manage deliveries efficiently.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring high service standards.
  • Handle daily banking, provide reconciliation support to the accountant, coordinate with the accountant for other activities such as budgeting, payroll etc.
  • Help introduce strategies such as delivery, developing online presence etc.
